Water Wars are not new to California. We live in a relatively DRY state, and places like LA would be a desert if it weren't for massive water projects like the LA and California Aqueducts delivering water from rivers up north.
We will watch the movie "Cadillac Desert" to get a sense of the battles won and lost within our state. It ends with describing Mono Lake as the final stand between the greed of LA and concerned citizens wishing to protect their environment.

Restore the Delta

We were fortunate to have a guest speaker, Roger Mammon, who works with an very active organization called Restore the Delta. Roger presented the movie "Over Troubled Waters" - addressing issues dealing with water resources in the Delta.
