    Welcome back Students and Families!
I am very excited to begin the 2018 - 2019 school year, this will be my fourth year teaching at Freedom.  I spent the previous 10 years working and living in Oakland where I taught in an elementary school and a high school.   I am originally from Boston MA, where I attended Northeastern University and received my BSN degree in Nursing.  I worked in the Operating Room at UCSF in San Francisco, after traveling all over the country, working in hospitals in Boston, Miami, Atlanta and LA, just to name a few.
This year, I will be teaching AP Biology, The Living Earth and Forensics.   I am really looking forward to working with my students and getting to know them as the year progresses.

    Guide to my web page:
I update the "Calendar" page each Sunday.  It is a snap shot of what the students will be doing during the week.  The "Assignments" pages contain due dates and upcoming assessments for the week.  The individual "Course Files" pages contain extra copies of worksheets and Power Point presentations from class.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.  My email is lunam@luhsd.net.  I check my email throughout the day and it is the best way to reach me if you'd like a response the same day.
