    Length:  Year Class: A two-period block course (20 credits max.)
    Prerequisite:  Age 16, must have own transportation, valid TB test, CPR and First Aid certification.
    Graduation:  Fulfills elective credit.


    Students explore careers related to education through the study of
    child development, positive guidance techniques, curriculum
    development and health and safety. Active class participation is
    enhanced by fieldwork at school sites under the guidance of a
    mentor teacher. All students are required to observe and/or
    participate in a variety of settings and classrooms at the preschool,
    primary/elementary, middle/junior high, and secondary levels.
    Completion of this course with a B or better articulates with LMC
    courses Child Development 22 and 32 and may be worth up to 6
    units of credit at LMC.
