Track & X-Country FUNDRAISING PROGRAMS
All fundraisers are voluntary; however, we always appreciate those that choose to participate.
Purpose: Raise money for track and cross-country programs at Freedom High School. Funds may be spent on, but not limited to: uniforms, sweats, workout clothing, track and field equipment from shot puts and discus, pole vault poles and cross bars, high jump & Pole vault landing pits, entry & bus fees, meet supplies, team awards and team activities, and training equipment.
FUNDRAISER #1 - eTeamFundraiser.com –“Letter” or email fundraising program
Athletes send an email to family and friends, doctors, dentist, etc. asking for sponsorships of any amount from $5.00 to $100.00+. Person can pay on line or send check to FHS Track.
Goal for each athlete to raise is $275.00.
Steps 1 - Parents and athletes complete the eTeamSponsor.com participants list of family, friend, and potentials donors.
Step 2 – Athletes follow the instruction on the bottom of the page. At the team kick-off, the instruction will be review and athletes can enter emails at that time.
Step 3 – Attend the Team kick-off and participate in the team video.
While supplies last, athletes that complete their eTeamsponsor.com emails will receive a DRI-Wicking Track T-shirt and a Freedom Track backpack for FREE.
FUNDRAISER #2 – FanCloth Catalog Sales and Orders
Catalogs sales provided for athletes, parents and friend to purchase FHS Track & Field merchandise that the team does not stock. FHS track must have a order of a minimum of 39 total items. Orders and money must be turned into Coach Briggs by Feb 28th. Track & XC earns a percentage based on the total number of items ordered.
FUNDRAISER #3 – Hosting Track Meets And Running Events
Freedom Track & XC athletes host several track meets and running events. These events provide funds as well as opportunity for athletes to give back to the sport and sometime complete. Parents and athletes are expected to assist with the events by working snack bars, controlling gate entries and exits, officiating [will train], timing and starting, Securing sponsorship for events, etc. The events are:
a. Marsh Creek Invitational - Sat March 9th, 2019 @ Freedom HS
b. Middle School Track Tri-Meets There are 4 meets dates in April usually Thursday or Wednesday.
c. Delta Valley Middle School Track & Field Championship Friday April 26th.
d. Help w/ snack bar at ALL home meets.
e. Assist w/ USATF meets held at Freedom High School
f. Turkey Trot for School Thanksgiving Day Nov
g. Other events, meets, and fun runs.
FUNDRIASER #4 – Direct Donation or Business Sponsorship
Direct donation to the FHS Track & Cross-country program of any dollar amount is welcome. Product, services, equipment, or merchandise is also acceptable. Business and companies may sponsor running events or track meets. Contact Coach Briggs to discuss sponsorship agreements.
OTHER FUNDRAISERS –
Booster Club - Become a member and participate with the Booster Club. Assist w/ snack bars at Track Meets, especially the USATF Youth meet, Deer Valley Invite, Delta Middle School Invitational. Also become involved w/ the Booster Clubs and help year round w/ raising funds for Freedom Athletics.
Athletic Directors Golf Tournament – The first Monday after school is out is the Athletic Directors Golf Tournament, JUNE 12th. Track is asked to have 2 foursomes enter. We are also looking for raffle prizes to the golf tournament and hole sponsors as well.
*** Athletes may only receive one free Sweat suits and one free T-shirts for fundraising participation per season, while supplies last.
Track Practice sweat suits may be purchased for $50.00. Track Dri-Wick T-shirt purchase price is $20.00.
