Work Permit Review Process:

In order to be granted a Work Permit, the student must meet the following criteria:

All work permit requests will be reviewed by an Assistant Principal.  The student/minor must be in good standing academically, attendance and discipline record for approval.

Grades:

Have a 2.0 or higher GPA.

No F's in graduation require classes.

The student's graduation status isn't in jeopardy.

Attendance:

The student doesn't have good/consistent attendance.

The student has 3 (or more) Truancies/Tardies in the current or previous quarter.

The student has 3 (or more) disciplinary entries for Tardies in the current or previous quarter.

The Assistant Principal verifies school enrollment, checks grades, fees due and attendance per Liberty Union High School District Administrative Regulation 5113.1(a). If the work permit is complete and a student is in compliance with AR5113.1(a) the work permit is issued.

In the event the student doesn't meet the academic or attendance standards, the student will need to meet with their Assistant Principal to discuss possible options.
