Academic Supports and Resources
The staff at Heritage High School is committed to your success. The following are academic supports and resources available to you.
Patriot Plus—Every Thursday, students have Patriot Plus for 50 minutes. During this time, students can get extra help from teachers. Students may use canvas (see calendar, then appointments) or request a paper pass from a teacher BEFORE Patriot Plus to sign up for Patriot Plus sessions. If you are having trouble signing up for another Patriot Plus teacher online or are not sure how, please ask your assigned Patriot Plus teacher for assistance. This is a great built in time to get additional help, make up that test, or complete homework.
H.E.L.P Club—Heritage Extended Learning Program—Homework assistance is provided in the study hall room (inside the library, 2nd floor) after school Monday-Thursday from 3:30- 5:00p.m. This is an excellent time for students to get extra help on homework and have a quiet place to work.
Study Hall—If you have Study Hall, take advantage of the time to complete your homework or get a reverse pass to see a teacher for extra help.
Individual Tutoring—See your counselor for more information.
Parent Portal—Parents and students can create an account on the Parent Portal to monitor grades.
Weekly Progress Reports—Set up weekly progress report notifications through the Parent Portal or use our paper weekly progress report, which are available in SLC offices or to download.
Surviving High School - Jed Foundation website created this to help students navigate high school, the transition into adult life and developing emotional and life skills.
