    EVENTS/HAPPENINGS

     

    Can you keep a secret?  The fall play opens Friday night at 7pm, and continues for two shows on Saturday, at 1pm and 4pm.  Come see what all the excitement is about and get in on the secret.  Look around campus for changes to the posters and signs around campus.  Tickets are on the school website or at the door--$10 for students, $12 for adults.

    Are you in the Health and Rec Academy? Would you like to learn how to save a life? Then you need to take a CPR class! Mrs. Tolvtvar will be holding CPR classes for any student interested on November 6th 3:30-6:30 and November 9th 9am-noon!  Cost is $35 and will be in room HR103. Pick ONE of these times and register on Mrs. Tolvtvar's Patriot Plus calendar. Spots are limited!

     

    Hey AP Students!  Have you set up your MyAP through College Board yet?  Get the JOIN code from your teachers before Fall Break to join each AP class section you have.  You need to do this to be able to utilize the AP resources for studying and to activate your test.  Remember the deadline is fast approaching to activate your test by saying “YES” in your College Board MyAP class section and to make your $40 deposit through the Heritage website!  See Mrs. James in LG102 if you have any questions.

     

    Tobacco-use prevention education invites you to join us for our meeting this Friday at lunch in A103. Come to learn more about our club and county programs with great college references for your applications and other amazing learning/training and conference opportunities.     HOMEWORK HELP! Every Monday to Thursday at 3:15 to 4:45 pm in Room MC-205 (ExCEL LAB in the Library)! If you need help with your homework or just a place to access a computer for your assignments, just come by and get some support.

    All those wishing to participate must have a signed waiver (see Mrs. Gray) which they need to hand to a coach before they will be allowed to participate. I am sharing this information far and wide tomorrow afternoon (9/18/19) after the LHS Club meeting.

    DATES FOR PRESEASON CONDITIONING IN 2019:

     

    • Every Monday starting 10/14/19 through 12/23/19: LHS Weight Room (Room K8): 1600 – 1715

     

    • Every Wednesday and Friday in October 2019: Oak Meadow Park (next to Cray Elementary) from 1600 – 1700.

     

    • Every Wednesday and Friday in Starting 11/1/19 and ending on 12/20/19: Oak Meadow Park (next to Cray Elementary) from 1600 – 1800 or until sunset. We need to be off the field before dark in order to avoid a lighting charge.

     

    CLUBS:

    Attention all current NHS members, this is a reminder that the October monthly meeting will be held in the theater at lunch on Tuesday, October 15th.  Please put this on your calendar so you don’t miss it, it’s the Tuesday after we return from Fall Break.

    Administration of Justice, Pre Law, Emergency Medical Services, Fire Technology and Nursing…do these majors interest you and are you a high school senior? Stop by the Career Center to pick up a permission slip to attend a Career Focus Friday Field Trip to Los Medanos College and participate in a hands on activities, tour the program and the LMC campus!     Seniors, UC-Santa Barbara, Johns Hopkins University, Boise State, University of Hawai’i, Cal Baptist, Oregon State, U.O.P. and St. Mary’s are coming to visit Heritage.  Log onto the Heritage website and sign up on the College and Career Calendar to reserve your spot. (Flores 10/25)
