    EP songwriting demo Project
    Summary: Complete a two song demo for your individual final songwriting projects. You may use Soundtrap, HookTheory, or other DAW that you may have at home. This week all you have to provide is Chord progressions for both songs. 

    • Song #1: Must include 2 sections (ex. Verse & chorus.) Bridge, Intro, and Outro is optional. A melody with a strong recognizable hook. Must be a minimum of 1 minute long.
    • Song #2: Must include the following form: Verse, Chorus, Verse, Chorus, Bridge, Chorus. A melody with a strong recognizable hook. More than 3 instruments required. Must be a minimum of 2 minutes.

    This week Song #2 is due: Upload song #2 to this Dropbox Link and make sure to input your name and email (ALSO BE SURE YOU GET AN EMAIL CONFIRMATION OF YOUR SUBMISSION).

    EP songwriting demo Project

    Over the next 3 weeks you are going to complete a two song demo for your individual final songwriting projects.  You may use Soundtrap, HookTheory, or other DAW that you may have at home.  This week you're assignment is to explore what your songwriting style will be for both songs and begin your songwriting project.  You will not be submitting your songs this week, only asnwering a reflection form about both of your songs. 

      • Song #1: Must include 2 sections (ex. Verse & chorus.) Bridge, Intro, and Outro is optional.  A melody with a strong recognizable hook.  Must be a minimum of 1 minute long.

    It will come up as Heritage High, Music Theory and Tech. Although this is not Pro Tools, for those of you without a DAW it is possible to experiment and get a hands on feel for a digital audio environment.  Feel free to experiment with the DAW. 

    Compose a :20 to :30 second "Ringtone" beat that could be used as a ringtone in Soundtrap.  Take the time to watch some of the video turtorials and introductions to better know the DAW.  Save it as Q4 Proj1 #### (the First 4 letters of your last name) Submit your Mp3 HERE

    • Use the same video from last week for your Temp Music Project.  Your Temp Music Score would begin at .24 seconds and end at 1.53.

    • Compose your own Temp Music to play a long with this video.  You must compose your music in Hook Theory using the following guidelines.
      • Must be composing in HookPad.
      • Must be 1.29 in length.
      • May be set to your choice of tempo.
      • Must use a minimum of 3 different chords.  
      • Must have melody set to at least 10 seconds of the song.
      • Must include a band setting.  
      • Must save song as TempMusic(LASTNAME)
