What is KeyClub?
Key Club is the world's largest student-run service organization!! We do a lot of volunteer projects, have monthly meetings and activities with other schools in our area, and have fun and make friends. Everyone's welcome! Key Club is known for our 4 core values: leadership, caring, inclusiveness, and character building. It's never too late to join us, and we'd love to see you at our next meeting or service project!
Key Club International is a byproduct of our parent organization, Kiwanis International. Heritage's Key Club was chartered by Brentwood Kiwanis in 2016. They sponsor and support our organization in so many ways, and in return, we serve alongside them and support their events!
Through Key Club, we not only provide our community with service hours and strong leaders for the next generation, but we also raise funds for our preferred charities. Currently, our 2 preferred charities are the Pediatric Trauma Program (PTP) and eliminating Maternal and Neonatal Tetanus (MNT). We also have special interest with UNICEF and The Thirst Project.
There are several "tiers," if you will, of Key Club. Heritage Key Club is a part of the Division 26 North Red Devils. Our division extends all the way from us and Deer Valley or Dozier Libbey, all the way to Concord and Alhambra High School. We do some events with just our club, and some events with the rest of the division! Our division is apart of Region 09, which is our division (26 North), as well as Division 26 South, Division 8, Division 2 North, and Division 2 South. We do events like the Region 09 Olympics (July) and Region Training Conference (fall) with our region. After that, we are a part of the California-Nevada-Hawaii (CNH) District. The district has its own District Executive Board (student leaders), and it's all encompassing for those 3 states. District Convention (April) is with our district. All in all, we are a part of Key Club International, which spans over 38 countries. We all have hearts to serve, and are student leaders, just like you.
