Description: Lions Club Speaker Contest is a speech competition where participants can earn scholarship money and checks as they progress throughout the rounds. Its purpose is to promote public speaking skills amongst high school students and provide an outlet for them to express their opinions and solutions on critical issues affecting society. Every participant would receive a $25 dollar check in the Club-level competition. The winner would then progress to the Zone Contest, Region Contest, District Contest, Area Contest, and then the Final Contest.
Speech Info, Format, & Rules:
Speech should be at least five minutes and no more than ten minutes. If time requirements are not met, then scoring points will be deducted or the participant may be disqualified
Usually between 1,200-1,500 words
May use one 3x5 flashcard on both sides until Club Level
There is no specific format that needs to be followed, let your imagination and creativity run wild
