About Mrs. Perry
Hello! My name is Brenda Perry and this is my 23rd year teaching science. I have always loved nature, conservation and wildlife. I grew up in Colorado and loved hiking and spending time outdoors. I fell in love with the ocean and marine animals in 6th grade thanks to a great science teacher. I originally attended the University of Colorado at Boulder but transferred to Auburn University in order to major in Marine Biology. After earning my BS, I went to graduate school and earned a Master's of Education Degree.
Over the years, I've taught various science courses including Zoology, Field Biology, Earth Science, Biology, and AP Biology. I've taught AP Biology for the past 10 years, first at Freedom and more recently at Heritage. I've also spent the last 5 summers grading AP Bio Exams for College Board.
Facts about Mrs. Perry
- My husband also teaches at HHS. We met as teachers at Livermore High School and had our first date chaperoning prom.
- My kids (Grace and Ryan) are both students at Heritage - so we're a Patriot family.
- I have 3 dogs - Diego, Cooper and Paige.
- When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family, coffee, trips to the beach, and listening to music.
