    Who We Are:

Interact Club is a high school based community service organization under the leadership of Rotary International. Through various projects, we embed ourselves into our community, where we learn leadership and teamwork skills. We carry on a legacy that strives for “Service Above Self.”

    Volunteer Information:

We receive most of our volunteer events from Rotary International, our sponsoring organization. A majority of our events are located in Brentwood, Oakley, and Discovery Bay. These activities range from helping clean up fundraisers to running elementary school family nights. However, not all of our events come through Rotary. Our President gathers all available events in the area to present to the club. Interactors can choose which events they would like to attend. Unlike other community service clubs in our area, we do not have a membership fee to join our club, and we receive the same volunteer opportunities as community service clubs who do.

    District 5160:

Our club resides in District 5160, which spans from the Oregon Border down to San Ramon. The district has 50 total Interact Clubs with roughly 3,500 Interactors. District Council, the governing board for the Interact side of District 5160, holds four district-wide events a year to socialize and/or fundraise. Since we reside in Area 9, the District Delegates for Areas 8, 9, and 10 represent us in DC. Our delegates allow for our club's interest to the district level. They hold smaller, more local events to allow Interactors from nearby areas to meet and collaborate. Please visit https://www.interact5160.org/ for more information about District 5160.

    Camp Royal and Camp Venture:

For dedicated Interactors, Rotary offers two programs for juniors during the summer before their senior year.

"Camp Royal is a RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Award) camp that teaches students the true meaning of leadership. For almost 40 years, rising high school seniors have camped every June in the Trinity Mountains to embark on this week-long personal journey."

“Camp Venture is a five-day camp dedicated to training young entrepreneurs going into their senior year of high school. Throughout this motivational camp, students are exposed to experienced business people and get to learn what it takes to get a startup off the ground.”

    Covid-19 Information:

Our officer team is currently looking into the idea of volunteer opportunities that can be done at home. We will release more information over Remind when available.
