  • Quarter 3 - Photography and Design

This quarter's display shows digital works by our Photography and Design students. In both classes, students learn how to edit and manipulate their digital images using Photoshop. As you can see below, our projects range from simple contrast and lighting settings to creating more abstract pieces where more than one image can be used and blended together.

  • Quarter 2 - Day of the Dead Display

Students learned about the origins and cultural practice of Day of the Dead. They also had the option of decorating a skull, cutting "papel picado" designs out of tissue paper, or writing a literary poem call "Las Calaveras."

  • Quarter 1 - Exquisite Corpse and a Gridded Portrait Collaboration

Below you'll see a description of the Exquisite Corpse project. Students from Beginning Art, Intermediate/Advance Art, and Design classes worked together to create interesting creature concepts.

On the right of the bulletin board, you'll see a gridded portrait of Bob Marley. Students had to complete 2-3 squares each and assemble the image like a puzzle.
