The IHS community garden gives students the opportunity to work hands-on with agriculture and horticulture. Entomology, Environmental Science, and Biology (Living Earth) also use the garden as a hands-on lab.
This hands-on experience has other benefits such as:
foster a sense of community
better food choices
skills that can be carried into personal hobbies
a visual example of the benefits of hard work
Students can work in the garden to complete communty service hours.
Volunteers are always welcome to contact Mrs. Holmes.
