• The IHS community garden gives students the opportunity to work hands-on with agriculture and horticulture. Entomology, Environmental Science, and Biology (Living Earth) also use the garden as a hands-on lab.

This hands-on experience has other benefits such as:

    • foster a sense of community

    • better food choices

    • skills that can be carried into personal hobbies

    • a visual example of the benefits of hard work
