My name is Frances Krohn and I am a Special Education teacher. With 25 years in Special Education, I have been blessed to have been a part of so many lives of young people who are now adult members of our community. Through the LUHSD Gateway Program, I work with young adults with special needs that are transitioning into our community. In 1996, I began my career at Liberty High School as a Para Professional, then began my teaching career at Freedom High School in 2002.  I have worked with students who have mild to moderate and moderate to severe disabilities and am absolutely passionate about what I do. The more I works with this population, the more that I realize how much I want to help these young adults develop the skills that they need to live as independently as possible.
