    A PD day


    CAFETERIA: Our school cafeteria offers a variety of hot and cold breakfast & lunch items every day. Choose from spicy chicken & deli sandwiches, PBJ sandwich, burgers, pizza, yogurt parfaits, fresh made salad or the daily special that always includes milk, fruit & veggies.     TODAY IS YOUR LAST CHANCE TO GET HOMECOMING DANCE TICKETS: On sale at Lunch & After School through the Student Accounts windows. $10 with ASB, $15 without ASB, $20 for non-LHS guests.     Scholarship applications for this year's Voice of Democracy Scholarship Program available in the Career Center. Students complete an audio essay for a chance to win a share of the over $1,900,000 in awards. Winners at the state level get at least $1,000 and a paid trip to Washington DC and is in competition for the $30,000 national grand prize scholarship award, and many other scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $16,000.     District College Night: Thursday, October 17 from 6-8 pm @ Freedom High School. Over 60 colleges and universities, along with trade and vocational schools, and the military will all be represented at this annual District wide event. Perfect opportunity to meet directly with admission representatives from the UC, CSU, Community College and Private College systems. (10/17)


    Interested in Aviation & Aerospace? Attend a career fair Saturday, October 19th from noon to 4pm at the Patriots Jet Team Foundation Learning Center at the Byron Airport. Learn about exciting career opportunities by meeting those who work in the aviation / aerospace fields. You can pick up a flyer in the Career Center for more details. (10/18)

    LONDON ANYONE?: There are still seats available for the London Trip during the March Break. The trip will stay in London and Oxford seeing local attractions as well as visiting sights and the Warner Brothers studio where Harry Potter was filmed.     HOMECOMING FOOTBALL GAME: We will be selling tickets for the HC game in the Student Accounts Office all week. Student may purchase tickets at lunch and after school. Cost is $5 for seniors 55 and over, children ages 4-18 (middle school and high school students must have ID) and adults with military ID. $8 for Adults and high school age students with no ID. Students with ASB are free. (10/18)
