Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Megan Yahr

I grew up in the desert of Southern California and earned my Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology with a minor in English at UC Santa Barbara. I earned my teaching credential at CalState Northridge and Master's Degree in Teaching Leadership at St. Mary's College of California. I started teaching high school in 2011 in Southern California and then moved to the Bay Area in 2013 for my husband's job. I was fortunate to find my new teaching home at Freedom High School. I love collaborating with other teachers to help students succeed! In my spare time, I love spending time with my family: my daughter, husband, and chocolate lab Brew. We love to be active outdoors while boating, waterskiing, wakesurfing, snow skiing, camping, hiking, and biking. When I'm not grading papers, I love to read-especially Star Wars novels, anything written by the Bronte sisters, and anything else that comes recommended to me!
