    Paper Rater:  Free online proofreading. This free service is simple and easy to use. Just copy/paste your essay to receive feedback about how to improve your writing. Obviously, this application cannot "read" your paper for content or know exactly what your teacher assigned. It is a helpful proofreading service and for now, it's free!  

     

    Grammarly Online proofreader: Here is another online proofreading app. This one wants you to sign up (and pay monthly fee), but will give you quick feedback about your essay. Must pay for full service. Remember: proofreading apps cannot "read" your paper for content or assess whether your paper was written as assigned. However, it can be a helpful check for spelling, punctuation, plagiarism, vocabulary usage, etc.
