What does my student need to do to report to class?
Step 1: Review Liberty DL Instructional Calendar.
Is today a “A” or “B” Day?
“A”= Periods 1-4
“B”= Periods 5-8
Step 2: Review Liberty DL Bell Schedule for an “A” or “B” Day and
Class Times.
Step 3: Go to Clever.com
Information on how to login will be coming soon from the district office directly to families through email.
Step 4: Once in Clever, students will go to a new platform called Canvas
(Student).
Step 5: In Canvas, students will click on their class and join a
Zoom Meeting for a live class session.
COMMUNICATION
Q: How do I contact my teacher?
A: Questions can be asked during class time and through Canvas, using the email section.
ORGANIZATIONQ: My student is struggling to keep track of all of their assignments. Is there a tool we can use to help them stay organized?

Canvas has a calendar tool to assist students.
- We have a Weekly Assignment Log and Weekly Planner for students that should be helpful.
TECHNOLOGY QUESTIONS
Q: What is Canvas?
A: Canvas is an online platform for students to access their courses.
Q: Can a parent/guardian access Canvas?
A: Canvas Observer is an online platform for parents to monitor their student’s progress.
Q: What is Zoom and do I need a computer to use it?
A: Zoom is an online meeting space. You can access Zoom on a computer, laptop or tablet through the Zoom website. You can also access it on a smartphone by downloading the free Zoom app (search Zoom in your smartphone's store). Zoom is FREE and anyone can set up meetings.
Teachers are available through Zoom during Student Tutorial Sessions (August 10-28: Tuesday/Thursday and beginning August 31: Tuesday/Thursday/Friday) from 2-3 PM. Check Canvas for links.
Q: What is Clever?A: Clever is the website where LUHSD students can access their online textbooks and resources. Students can also access the LUHSD website, their Office 365 accounts, and Canvas through Clever.
Q: How do I login to Office 365 if I'm a student and want to save my files in my OneDrive cloud so I can access them from any computer or deviceA: Click HERE for step-by-step instructions about logging into your LUHSD provided Office 365 account. Q: What is Turn-it-in and what is my login?
A: Turnitin.com is a website where you would submit assignments for your teacher to view. The website also checks each turned in assignment for possible plagarism. Here are Turnitin.com Instructions for first time and returning users.
Q: What is Big Ideas?
A: Big Ideas is a text book website for Math where homework will go through. Big Ideas can also be accessed via Clever.
