The Class of 2021 has gotten off to a fabulous start this year. Students and teachers loved our class and homecoming t-shirts. Over 100 students purchased the Golden Class t-shirts featuring the Golden Gate Bridge and the Freedom Falcon. We are still receiving compliments for the HOCO homecoming t-shirts. The students worked long and hard on decorations for BC Day and the Homecoming float, and our efforts were rewarded by earning 2nd place at Homecoming!
Speaking of Homecoming, the Class of 2021 represented themselves well during BC Week and the production of the homecoming float. The school theme for homecoming was movies, and the sophomore class featured animation movies. During BC Day our class decorated the B building with homemade decorations depicting childhood favorites such as Coco, Finding Nemo, and Up. Our homecoming float featured a fiesta hosted by Miguel from Coco. Construction of the float was indeed a team effort; built by the students with generous donations from our FABULOUS SOPHOMORE PARENTS, Lowe’s, Home Depot, Kelly Moore Paints, Straw Hat Pizza, and Mountain Mike’s Pizza. All in all, we received over $1,000 in donated paint, lumber, building supplies and food. The students were very proud of the final product.
2021 fundraising has been very successful. The t-shirt sales, class car wash, food sales, food fair and restaurant fundraisers earned over $3,000 in the first two months of school. Thanks to generous parent donations during the food sales week and food fair in September, our class made nearly $600 in profit. In total, we earned over $3,000 to start the year.
Class of 2021 fundraising will continue this fall with a family night at Taquiza Limon in Oakley on Thursday, November 15th. A portion of profits will go to the Class of ‘21 and whoever cooks for the family won’t have to slave over a stove. It’s a win, win for everyone! Please come out and join us.
We will also be seeking donations for Food Faire sales. Information regarding donations will be sent out via email, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. If you haven’t done so, please follow us on social media or join our email list by contacting Derek Treichelt or Stacy Ashton at firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com.
On behalf of the Class of 2021, the class advisors want our parents to know that they are THE BEST. We could not have been as successful without your support.
