Hello and welcome to my science classes. I am honored to be teaching such a fine

group of young adults and I hope to inspire you to enjoy science!  I have a great love

of science and have been pursuing science since I can remember.  I have a  B.S. in

Microbiology from Purdue University and have worked for many years in immunology

and virology research which led to the development of products to detect human infectious

diseases , drugs of abuse, and plant pathogens.  After moving to California almost 12 years

ago I went back to school and received my Multiple Subject teaching credential, and

Single Subject teaching credentials in Biology and Chemistry.  This will be my 10th year of

    teaching science!!

I hope to share my love of inquiry and experimentation with you.  I want you to know I will do my

very best to lead you in inquiry, provide you with in-depth instruction, resources, and various avenues of learning,

so you will be able to achieve confidence and success as a student scientist.  I have high expectations

of my students and believe the higher the expectations you set for yourself, the higher the learning

experience you will gain. I look forward to a great Patriot year with you all!!
