• IMPORTANT UPDATES!

Hello Freedom volleyball families, Happy 2021!

We are excited for all the kids who are participating in the first phase of non-contact outdoor purple tier high school sports. We wish them good luck and may they continue to stay safe and healthy.

Our county is still in the purple tier and our sport requires us to be in the orange before we can move forward and be in the gym. The good news is that we may continue to have outdoor conditioning/training. We will resume our workout activities on Monday, February 8th from 6:00pm-7:30pm on tennis court #11.  This will be open to both groups. Training will be on Monday’s and Wednesdays from 6:00pm – 7:30pm for a group of 16 athletes. If there is more interest I will happy to open more days.

There are a few changes that may affect some players. According to a CC County Health Guidelines: Coaches and athletes both may only be part of one “stable group”. This guideline is apart of the NCS 600 bylaw. An athlete cannot be on more than one team at a time at Freedom or outside of Freedom. This does include workouts. I will receive rosters from the others sports and I am required to turn in a weekly attendance sheet.  I will send a Remind message to reserve your spot the day prior and take attendance the day of. The number of days of training will depend on the number of interested athletes. If you sign up and have multiple  absences I  will be forced to give your spot to another athlete.  Remember attending workouts/training is not mandatory!

    REGISTRATION – Try-outs

To all returning and new players. If you plan on playing volleyball I highly recommend that you get your registration completed as soon as possible.  You will need a physical done from June 1, 2020 forward, register on athletic clearance, and register on Remind. Print physical forms and have your physician complete and sign, then upload form on athletic clearance. Once all forms are completed AD Coach Sandy Torres will approve and notify me immediately.  It is best to be ready and avoid in unforeseen problems and delaying your tryouts. Submitting all your forms does not obligate you to participate, it is your decision if you want to participate or not.  Lastly Keep in mind that attending the workouts/training is not mandatory nor does it gurantee anyone participating a spot on the team.
