Contra Costa County Library Resources
All students attending Freedom High School have access to Contra Costa County Library System Resources. Students must have a library card or ecard to access materials. See below for help getting a library card and accessing these resources. The Oakley Public Library shares space with the Freedom High School Library, so Freedom students also have access to Oakley Library materials during the school day during Oakley Library hours.
During COVID-19 closures, CCC Libraries, including Oakley Library, are offering Front Door Service for print books, DVDs, etc. Students can request and check out up to 15 items with an ecard. See below for information on getting an ecard.
If you have further questions, visit the Contra Costa County Library System website or contact them via text or chat.
You can also contact Oakley Library directly at (925)625-2400.
Getting a Library Card
Ecards - students can apply for an ecard by completing an online form. An eCard allows patrons immediate access to the Library's online databases, California Missions, Cliffs Notes, and TumbleBook Library and allows patrons to place holds on or request items. During Covid-19 closures, an ecard allows students to utilize the library's Front Door Service and check out up to 15 items. The day after you apply for an eCard, you may request LINK+ items. Apply for an ecard here.
